Publication of the Inaugural Issue of the NAM International Journal on Human Rights and Cultural Diversity

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran is pleased to inform the esteemed Embassies of the Member States of the Non-Aligned Movement that the NAM Centre for Human Rights and Cultural Diversity, based in Tehran, has officially published the inaugural issue of the NAM International Journal on Human Rights and Cultural Diversity.

This publication has been issued in accordance with the mandate assigned by the Heads of State and Government at the Non-Aligned Movement Summit held in Kampala (paragraph 79 of the Final Document, 19–20 January 2024).

The Journal, a peer-reviewed and open-access platform, serves as a repository for the best practices of NAM Member States in promoting human rights while preserving their cultural diversity. The inaugural issue highlights the theme of “Cultural Identity, with Emphasis on National Cultural Identity,” reflecting the Movement’s commitment to addressing shared global challenges and to reinforcing national identities within a culturally respectful international framework.
