The Iranian Greco-Roman wrestling team has officially been crowned World Champions, making history by joining the freestyle team in a double world title victory. This marks the first time in the history of Iranian wrestling that both teams have simultaneously held the world championship title.

The team secured its early championship victory even before the final three weight classes were completed. After the first four events, the Iranian squad had already amassed two gold medals and one silver.
