Quds Day Ceremony Held in Denmark in Solidarity with Palestine

The annual Quds Day ceremony in memory of the late founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran and standing in solidarity with the oppressed people of Palestine and Gaza was held at the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Copenhagen

The annual Quds Day ceremony, in memory of the late founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran and standing in solidarity with the oppressed people of Palestine and Gaza, was held at the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Copenhagen. The event, held on Friday, April 27 (coinciding with the 27th of Ramadan), drew a diverse gathering of Muslims from various nationalities, as well as members of the Iranian community.

The ceremony, which included an iftar banquet, featured speeches by the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Denmark and other invited speakers. In his address, the Ambassador condemned the ongoing violence in Gaza, stating:

"Despite a temporary ceasefire offering a glimmer of hope for Gaza’s besieged population, the Israeli regime—with the overt backing of the U.S. government—resumed its brutal attacks, killing countless Palestinians during the holy month of Ramadan. These atrocities unfolded before the eyes of the world, yet so-called human rights advocates remained passive, failing to hold the Zionist regime accountable."

He further criticized Western governments for their complicity, saying:

"Nations that claim to champion human rights have not only remained silent but have actively enabled these crimes through military, financial, and political support. Since October 2023, the U.S. has fueled this aggression by supplying arms, funding, and diplomatic cover, effectively greenlighting Netanyahu’s campaign of ethnic cleansing in Gaza."

The event underscored the urgent need for global action to end the oppression of Palestinians and reaffirmed the participants' commitment to justice and resistance against occupation.
